Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to every order placed via kwispel.net with NME Precision Technologies (trading as Kwispel), registered at Stampstraat 26a, 6369 BD Simpelveld, The Netherlands, listed with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number 91262917 (VAT ID NL004878436B35). You can reach us at info@kwispel.net.

1. What you're buying

Kwispel sells laser-engraved dog ID tags with a unique QR code. Every tag unlocks a free, forever-usable finder page where you control exactly which of your dog's details a finder can see. The tag itself is a one-time purchase — there's no subscription and no hidden cost for using the finder page.

2. Prices & payment

All prices shown are in euros and include VAT. Payment runs through our payment provider, Stripe, using whichever payment methods are offered there at the time (such as iDEAL, card, or Klarna). Your order is final once payment is confirmed.

3. Personalization & production

Your tag is engraved specifically for you with the name and details you enter — so double-check your input before checking out, since engraved text can't be changed afterwards. Production only starts once your payment is confirmed.

4. Shipping

We ship via PostNL. Any delivery estimates shown are indicative; we're not liable for delays caused by the carrier. Shipping cost is shown separately at checkout, on top of the tag price.

5. Right of withdrawal

Because every tag is engraved specifically for your dog, it qualifies as a custom-made, personalized good under Article 16(c) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), as implemented in Dutch law. The standard 14-day right of withdrawal therefore does not apply once production has started. See our returns policy for what is covered — defective, wrong, or damaged items.

6. Conformity & warranty

Regardless of the above, you keep the statutory guarantee that a product does what you can reasonably expect it to (conformity, under Dutch law and the EU Sale of Goods Directive 2019/771). If your tag arrives defective, wrongly engraved, or damaged, contact us — we'll fix it with a free replacement or refund.

7. Liability

The finder page is a free service we maintain carefully, but we can't guarantee 100% uninterrupted availability. We're not liable for damages arising from the finder page being temporarily unreachable, or from a notification (e.g. a contact-info reveal alert) not arriving. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant order.

8. Your account & data

You're responsible for keeping your dog's profile information up to date and for keeping your login credentials confidential. See our privacy policy for how we handle personal data.

9. Intellectual property

The Kwispel name, logo, and the design of kwispel.net belong to us. Any photos or text you add to your dog's profile remain yours — we only use them to display the finder page.

10. Force majeure

In case of force majeure (such as an outage at our hosting provider, payment provider, or carrier) we may temporarily suspend fulfilling an order without owing compensation for it.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. For an order already placed, the terms in effect at the time you placed it continue to apply.

12. Governing law & disputes

Dutch law applies to this agreement. If you're a consumer residing in another EU member state, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your own country continue to apply regardless. If something goes wrong, contact us first at info@kwispel.net — we'd much rather sort it out directly than through a court.
